How to Start a Patient Reported Measure
This guide will walk you through the process of starting a Patient Reported Measure in Lutra Health.
1. Add Measure to Episode
Search for the required patient, or register them if they have not yet been added on Lutra Health. From the patient record you can either select to add a measure to an existing episode, or if it is unrelated to any existing episode, create a new one

2. Select the required Patient Reported Measure type
You can select which type of Patient Reported Measure you wish to start. Current options are to start a CatPROM5 with PREMs, CatPROM5 only or PREMs only. In this example, CatPROM5 is selected.

3. Provide a surgery date
A surgery date must be provided to start a Patient Reported Measure. This is used to determine when communications are sent to the patient.

4. Select the surgery date
Use the date picker to select the surgery date.

5. Select a clinician
You can optionally add which clinician is assigned to the surgery, this can be useful for tracking subsequent metrics. If a list of clinicians has already been added, then you can select a name from the list. If the clinician is not on the list, then you can simply add them by typing their name in the text box.

6. Select which eye
You can also optionally record which eye will be having surgery.

7. Click "Start"
When you click "Start" the Patient Reported Measure will be created and all communications automatically scheduled.

8. Patient Communications
If a CatPROM5 is being started - either alone or in combination with PREMs - and the surgery date is in the future, then the pre-op questionnaire will be sent immediately to the patient. The post-op questionnaire will be automatically sent six weeks after the surgery date. If it is a PREMs only that has been initiated, then this involves only a post-op questionnaire, which will automatically be sent to the patient two weeks after the surgery date
